When you are requested by casting to send digital photos of yourself along with your audition, this is what they are asking you to send.
What to send as a digital picture:
-Clean, clear phone photos taken of you within the last 72 hours of yourself.
On a clean backdrop (your audition backdrop is perfect).
-A close up (shot horizontal) with a smile shoulders to top of head -and- a head to toe(can be vertical).
These need to be shot when you film your audition
What NOT to send as a digital picture:
-your professional headshot or model shot
-a phone picture you love but was taken more than 3 days ago
-a picture of you on set of a different project
-a picture of you with someone else in the picture
-NO sunglasses, hats or any kind of filters.
Another mistake is not being camera ready- or shooting it after working out. That's a bad idea- be camera ready with proper day time hair and makeup (no dark lipstick)
Many new actors mistake the "digital photo" request to with their headshots - they are not asking for any kind of a professional photo -
they want to see your haircut, teeth, size, look you have the day you get the audition.
