Hey guys! For today’s blog post I will be sharing with you my 3 favourite books that I love to read and I think you will too! These books all follow the life of one character and they talk about their adventures, journeys and past experiences. Let’s jump on into it so you can get to know these books a bit more! (Don’t worry there are no spoilers!) Finding Audrey - Sophie RusselThis book is about Audrey who is a 14 year old with a social anxiety order that has taken over her life, until one day when she meets Linus - her brother’s friend. Linus helps to introduce Audrey back into the real world and soon she feels stronger and braver than before. This book is really interesting because you get to discover a lot of hidden secrets about Audrey’s family and life as you go through the book. When your are reading, you are always learning something new about this mysterious Audrey. The book is written so realistically and with a variety of fun writing styles such as letters, emails and scripts. Definitely read this if you like the sound if it already and I promise you will love it!
Girlhood - Cat Clarke Yes, some of you may realise Girlhood is one of Zoella’s book clubs recommendations which is actually where I was inspired to read it. Check out Zoella’s Book Club at https://www.whsmith.co.uk/dept/zoella-book-club-2016if you are a book worm (like me) and want some fabulously great books! Girlhood is written around a girl called Harper who is trying to fit in at her expensive boarding school. Her friendship group is close...until new girl Kirsty joins. While Harper is struggling with the guilt of her twin sister’s Jenna’s death, things get messy as Harper tries to become the person she used to be before the accident. I loved this book so much that I read in in something like 3 days straight while we are on holiday in Queensland. I was hooked! It kind of reminded me of Malory Towers by Enid Blyton or something because it had that boarding school feel to it and it was just interestingly read the whole time! You discover so many secrets about Jenna’s death, who Kirsty really is and also Harpers friends too. I don’t want to spoil any thing else so overall, this book is perfect if you are looking for a real page turner!
Everything Everything - Nicola Yoon This book is for sure my favourite by far! Everything Everything is about Madeline who is allergic to the world. She can’t leave the house and the only people she sees in her Mum and her Nurse, Carla. One day, a strange boy moves in next door and Madeline is curious to find out more about Olly. I was really excited to read this book because I had heard lots about it and everyone seemed to have loved it, and I definitely did too! This book is super hard to talk about because I do not want to give anything away about it! It has a really interesting and unique storyline and definitely another page turner for me. This story is so twisted although it may not seem at the start. Overall, a great book with such an interesting story and so fun to read.
